Summer Events Guide

Immerse yourself in local art at more than 30 galleries during the Charleston Gallery Association’s Artwalk. Taking place on the first Friday of most months, the Artwalk is a fantastic way to meet new people, discover local artists, and find the perfect art piece for your home. Participants have the ability to create their own Artwalk route using the CGA website’s “Charleston Gallery Association Map.” There is no cost of admission to this event.

You will find a variety of local produce, plants, herbs, and cut flowers, as well as breakfast and lunch vendors, live entertainment, and an assortment of juried arts and crafts from local artisans every Saturday at the Market.

Enjoy exploring Kings Street without traffic! You will find carefully curated artists showing their work on the street, unique food vendors, and other surprises! Enjoy discovering shops you might not have noticed before!

Prepare to unwind rain or shine with your friends at Deep Water Vineyards at their weekly Wine-Downs! Sample wines ($15 to taste 6), sip unique drinks (wine slushies, meads, mimosas, and bloody marys!), and enjoy live music and delicious food trucks. Relax on the patio with games (cornhole, swurfer/swing) or explore the farm ((rabbits, pigs, chickens, ducks, geese, and a miniature brahma cow!). Leashed dogs & well-behaved kids welcome. The North Charleston Arts Fest explodes with five days of free festivities. Calling all music lovers and farmers market enthusiasts!  Awendaw Green and the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs are teaming up to present the Marion Square Jam, a vibrant celebration of local music. Marion Square transforms into a lively stage for a “Barn Jam” style showcase, featuring six of Charleston’s favorite artists each day.  These captivating 45-minute sets will allow you to discover a diverse range of musical styles that embody the city’s rich creative spirit.
