Lisa was born in Vermont and grew up in Massachusetts but has been part of Charming Inns® since 2004. She feels like she is part of a family at John Rutledge House Inn®. Lisa enjoys the nooks and crannies of Charleston—the one balcony table at Muse, the back outdoor space of Blind Tiger, the alley called Pennsylvania Ave., and the Pineapple courtyard at Kings Courtyard Inn.” But, her favorite spot is Washington Park, the park where her “hubby” and she first talked about moving to Charleston.

Jim has been working for Charming Inns for just over 8.5 years and has been in the hospitality industry on and off since he was 19 years old. Jim was born in Boston, MA and has lived in NY, FL, CA, Ireland, Spain, Italy, and San Juan PR. He moved to Charleston over 9 years ago. Jim loves working at John Rutledge House because of the history and the amazing staff and guests. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and camping with his dog—and when he can—art, photography, and massage therapy. He also loves to do anything in or around the water in Charleston. Jim considers himself an open book and enjoys sharing about his life with others.

John has been working for Charming Inns for almost three years and has been in the hospitality industry for 40 years. He moved to Charleston 25 years ago from Kansas City, MO. John’s favorite part of working at Charming Inns is his love of meeting people from all parts of the world and telling them about the “charms” of Charleston. In his free time, John works out of his home as an artist.
