Museum Mile Month

When: January 1-31, 2025

Where: A one-mile section of Meeting Street

During January, you can enjoy access to participating Museum Mile sites with the purchase of one low ticket price! Museum Mile is a one-mile section of Meeting Street where you will find six museums, four parks, a Revolutionary War powder magazine, and an array of historic churches and public buildings. Adult tickets are $35 and children’s are $10 for 13 different sites. This is an affordable way to learn about Charleston’s rich history and culture! Patriots Point

Pay What You Can Day

When: Saturday, January 18, 2025

Where: Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum | 40 Patriots Point Road Mt Pleasant

On January 4, 11, 18, and 25, visitors to Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum can pay any amount they choose for standard admission, making the museum accessible to all.

Admission includes access to the USS Yorktown, USS Laffey, and the Vietnam Experience. Tickets for “Pay What You Can” must be purchased at the ticket booth.

Behind the Scenes Attic Tour

When: Saturday, January 18, 2025

Where: Drayton Hall | 3380 Ashley River Road Charleston

On Saturday, January 18th, explore behind the scenes and venture into the attic with Drayton Hall’s Director of Preservation, Trish Smith.

Two tour times are available: 10:30 AM and 11:00 AM.

Tickets are $55 per person for non-members and $45 for members. Space is very limited for this unique event, so be sure to reserve your spot in advance.

Weekend Wine-Down

When: Saturday, January 11, 2025 | 11 am-4 pm

Where: Deep Water Vineyard | 6775 Bears Bluff Road Wadmalaw Island

Every Saturday, rain or shine, the venue hosts its popular weekend wine-downs from 10am to 5pm. Guests can enjoy hourly wine tastings for $15, which include six samples and a souvenir stemless glass. The patio bar offers wine by the glass or bottle, wine slushies, draft meads, bloody marys made with jalapeño wine, mimosas, and other seasonal surprises. Each weekend features a rotating food truck and live music to enhance the experience. Families and leashed dogs are welcome, with lawn games and a swing available for entertainment. Visitors are encouraged to respect animal care signs on the property to help maintain a stress-free environment for the resident animals.

Camellia Walks are back on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays starting January 18!

Each winter, thousands of camellia blossoms transform America’s Oldest Landscaped Gardens into a breathtaking display of beauty. Join an expert guide for a special 11:00 AM walking tour highlighting historic camellias, including the 1786 Reine des Fleurs, one of the first camellias planted in America.

Begin your visit by checking in at the Visitors Center at Middleton Place, then meet your guide at the Garden Market, where light refreshments will be served before the 75-minute tour.

Tickets for Camellia Walks are $15 per person in addition to general admission, and advanced reservations are required. Tours are limited to 20 participants, so secure your spot early!
