First Friday Artwalks

One of Charleston’s best traditions, First Friday Artwalks are a way of debuting the city’s vibrant art scene. This special occasion occurs on the first Friday of every month (excluding January and July) and highlights dozens of art galleries and studios across the entire city. Lowcountry Jazz Festival

Artists like Train (September 2), Old Dominion (September 28), and Noah Kahan (September 29) are just a few of the celebrities taking on the Holy City. Charleston Beerfest
When: September 9 | 1-7 pm
Where: Riverfront Park
Beer lovers from all over the city have the opportunity to spend the day tasting new craft beer, trying small bites, and enjoying live music. This year will feature over 60 breweries from all over the southeast. Beers will range from local IPAs, new stouts, and tasty sours. Proceeds from the festival will also be donated to Palmetto Community Care. Raise a glass to this must-see event that will take over Riverfront Park.
2nd Sunday on King Street

Dancing on the Cooper

If you’re looking for some fun summer entertainment, head over to the Mount Pleasant Pier where you can enjoy an evening of dancing to a variety of music. This month, guests can groove to popular hits from the 80s and 90s. The pier is located on the Cooper River, which provides an incredible view of the city skyline while you dance the night away. Charleston’s Farmers Market
When: Saturdays, April 8-November 25, 2023 | 8 am- 2 pm
Where: Marion Square | 329 Meeting Street, Charleston|
Located on Marion Square, this weekly event features over 200 vendors, ranging from fresh produce to baked goods, and even crafts. These vendors are all local farmers, with fresh food grown right in the Lowcountry. The market also features live music so you can enjoy some entertainment while shopping. The Farmers Market is a great way to kick off your Saturday in the Holy City.
50 Years of Folly

Autumn on the Ashley

Indigo Dyeing Workshop at Drayton Hall

Join us for an immersive indigo dyeing workshop at Drayton Hall to close out September. Led by experienced instructor Caroline Harper, participants have the chance to learn about the art of dyeing fabric with indigo. Learn the meticulous process of dye preparation, fabric treatment, and application in the tranquil setting of Drayton Hall. At the end of this experience, you’ll take home your own unique, hand-dyed scarf.
