The 34th Annual Piccolo Spoleto Sand Sculpting Competition returns to Isle of Palms on Saturday, June 1st. This free event offers a fun-filled day for all ages, with categories for children, families, young adults, and adults. Whether you’re a seasoned sandcastle architect or a curious newcomer, unleash your creativity and mold masterpieces at the beach. Witness the impressive artistry unfold as participants meticulously shape the sand, or simply relax and marvel at the ever-evolving sandy structures. Registration is now open!

Guests have the opportunity to explore the historic Charleston Home Drayton Hall. A must-see stop in the city, this event allows guests to stroll throughout the property, learning about the history, while enjoying light bites and drinks (including some from our local breweries). Calling all music lovers and farmers market enthusiasts!  Awendaw Green and the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs are teaming up to present the Marion Square Jam, a vibrant celebration of local music. Marion Square transforms into a lively stage for a “Barn Jam” style showcase, featuring six of Charleston’s favorite artists each day.  These captivating 45-minute sets will allow you to discover a diverse range of musical styles that embody the city’s rich creative spirit. Admission is free, so be sure to get their early and secure your spot. Don’t miss this opportunity to celebrate Charleston’s local artists!

Taking place on the first Friday of most months, the Artwalk is a fantastic way to meet new people, discover local artists, and find the perfect art piece for your home. Participants have the ability to create their own Artwalk route using the CGA website’s “Charleston Gallery Association Map.” There is no cost of admission to this event.
