First Friday Artwalk

When: Friday, March 6, 2026

Where: Various Galleries Throughout Historic Charleston

Immerse yourself in local art at more than 30 galleries during the Charleston Gallery Association’s Artwalk. Taking place on the first Friday of most months, the Artwalk is a fantastic way to meet new people, discover local artists, and find the perfect art piece for your home. Participants have the ability to create their own Artwalk route using the CGA website’s “Charleston Gallery Association Map.” There is no cost of admission to this event.

Front Beach Fest

Where: Front Beach | Isle of Palms

The Isle of Palms kicks off spring with a free street festival for the whole family! Enjoy live beach music from The Carolina Soul Band and iconic tunes by The Tams. Kids can have fun with jump castles, bungee trampolines, face painting, and more, while local vendors and restaurants fill the street.

Candlelight Tours at Drayton Hall

Experience Charleston’s colonial past with an evening candlelight tour of Drayton Hall, the impeccably preserved 1738 estate and the oldest publicly accessible plantation house in the country. On select nights, guests can explore the home’s architecture and history by the warm glow of candlelight during these intimate, reservation-only tours. It’s a rare opportunity to hear the stories of the people who lived and worked here and to see this iconic landmark in a beautifully atmospheric setting.

Weekend Wine-Down

When: Every Saturday | 10 am-5 pm

Where: Deep Water Vineyard | 6775 Bears Bluff Road Wadmalaw Island

The weekly Wine-Down happens every Saturday, rain or shine. Guests can enjoy hourly tastings of six wines with a souvenir glass for $15, along with a variety of drinks from the patio bar, including wine slushies, meads, Bloody Marys made with jalapeño wine, and mimosas. Each event features a food truck and live music, with updates on the day’s lineup available on-site. Families and leashed dogs are welcome, with lawn games and a play area for kids. Visitors are asked to respect the resident animals, including rabbits, pigs, and chickens, for a stress-free environment.

2nd-Sunday-on-King

Second Sunday on King Street

When: Sunday, March 8, 2026 | 12-5 pm

Where: King Street from Queen to Calhoun Street

Every second Sunday of the month from noon until 5 pm, the City of Charleston shuts down King Street from Queen to Calhoun to through traffic. In addition, no cars are allowed to park, giving pedestrians the ability to stroll through the street and visit businesses they might not have known about. There are also artists displaying their work on the street and unique food vendors tempting guests with their fare.

Charleston St. Patrick’s Day Parade

When: Tuesday, March 17, 2026

Where: St. Patrick Catholic Church | 134 St Philip St, Charleston

Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in the heart of historic Charleston with the annual St. Patrick’s Day parade! The parade starts shortly after 10 AM at Radcliffe Street and Saint Philip Street, makes its way down both King Street and Broad Street, and finishes at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. Parade watchers will see Charleston’s Irish step dancers, fire trucks, marching bands, and more! There is no admission to this event.

As the nation marks its 250th anniversary, we invite you to experience Charleston this spring, where history is woven into every street and garden. Founded in 1922, The Garden Club of Charleston is one of America’s oldest garden clubs, known for more than a century of preservation work and community service that can be seen throughout the city. Guests are invited to an evening of live music, cold beverages, and great company at Caw Caw Interpretive Center from 5 to 7 p.m., featuring a performance by Michael Duff. Tickets are available for $20 in advance or $25 on the day of the event, including wine, beer, and live music. Firefly Distillery's Sunday Oyster Roast Series

Where: Firefly Distillery | 4201 Spruill Ave., North Charleston

Firefly kicks off its Sunday Oyster Roast series on March 29, 2026, at its five-acre field along Noisette Creek, featuring all-you-can-eat oysters from Reeds Catering and Lowcountry Oyster Co. The event runs from 11am–4pm, with oysters served from 12pm–3pm, music by DJ Cabana Vibez, and Firefly cocktails available for purchase. Tickets are $45 (with children 12 and under free) and must be purchased online in advance, as this is a ticketed event with limited availability. Guests are welcome to bring blankets and chairs, and can bring their own shuckers and rags or purchase them in the Gift Shop. It promises to be a lively afternoon of fresh oysters and Lowcountry fun.
